The quick downhill slide of our nation began in ernest, in my opinion, when lawlessness became regularly legalized. We saw a shift a few years ago with insane laws being enacted that actually invited theft and destruction with little to no penalty.
Consider:
- In some states theft under $1000 was reclassified from a felony to a misdemeanor—with merely a slap on the hand as a consequence. In some stores employees were told to do nothing as people regularly came in to steal items.
- In San Francisco a “cash for criminals” program was launched which pays people $300/mo NOT to shoot someone and make them “Community Ambassadors.” The Human Rights Commission evidently has already been implementing this program and says it is a “cost effective way” to reduce gun crimes in other cities. (My thought: How about enforcing the laws that prohibit violence?)
- A judge has upheld a program that allows 3,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti Nicaragua and Venezuela into the U.S. each month. Then combine that with the past four years of open borders allowing drugs, child trafficking, terrorists and the masses of humanity to come into America receiving more governmental assistance in some cases than actual tax-paying citizens.
- New York is using tax-payer dollars are now used for supervised drug injection sites for illegal drugs.
- “Welcoming” or sanctuary city status that invites illegals giving protected and resident status shifting them into the category of “legal.”
- The increasing theft by government called “conservation easements” which are “completely voluntary” supposedly providing a benefit to the landowner but not only restricts the development of a piece of land, but can then allow the public onto the land, or where the landowner can no longer access parts of their own land, but are still required to pay taxes on it. A strong word of caution if the government offers you this “opportunity.”
- Destruction of statues and businesses during the “summer of love” was given a pass, while some people in Washington, DC during January 6, 2021 still languish in jail deprived of their right to a speedy and fair trial. Here’s a comparison of the two. You decide.
What we are experiencing was clearly prophesied in the Bible that in the last days lawlessness will abound, and the love of many will grow cold. (Matt 24:12).
Lawlessness in that verse isn’t just referring to civil laws that are broken. It refers to the rejection of the laws/commandments of the Bible. It is a rejection of God. It is imperative that we continue to pray for people for hearts and hunger to return to God.
Father, Help us to guard our hearts with all diligence, for out of our heart flow the issues of life. Help us Standing on our knees, to not be discouraged as we see the increase of corruption and sin. We know that according to Your Word everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.
We repent for America where sin has abounds and lawlessness legalized. Where officials and judges have empowered the lawless and penalized the law-abiding. We cry to You for help. Deliver us from this evil.
You see their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood. But destruction and misery are in their paths and the path of peace they have not known for there is no fear of God in them. We pray for a return to the fear of the Lord to cover America and to cover the world.
We pray for those who have been given over to a depraved mind, who now do those things that are not proper. Who are filled with unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and malice. Those who are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful, who although they know the ordinance of God, they have practiced such things and given hearty approval to those who practice them. We declare now to them, “Come back into your right mind! See and know the truth and be set free. ” We bind the spirit of pride and lawlessness and loose the fear of the Lord to fill them in its place.
We pray for all who can still turn back that they will be saved. We pray for hearts to change from a heart of stone to a heart of flesh and return to You including our children, our families, our cities and nation that we will return to our first love and to the fear of the Lord. We repent and renounce the luke-warmness that has filled our churches and pray for your fire of repentance to first fill the house of God and then our nation. May darkened hearts and minds be renewed to see the Light.
Forgive us where we have there has been a partnership of righteousness and lawlessness in our churches, our government, our homes. For there is no fellowship between light and darkness. We renounce it and declare we will be holy as You are holy. We declare America is turning back to holiness, the fear of the Lord and righteousness in a mighty revival bigger than the world has ever seen.
