Ecc 3:8 says “There is a time for war and a time for peace.” While many want to pray for peace amidst the division in our land, we need to be spiritually discerning. We must be like the sons of Issachar and recognize the season we are in. We are in a time of war. We war for our families, for our our nation, for truth.

In 2 Kings 9, Jehu, the son of Jehoshaphat was anointed in an unusual act by the Spirit. Almost immediately he took on the responsibility and a mission to remove an ungodly king. Please hear me I am NOT calling for anyone to rise up in violence. But like Jehu, we must recognize there can be no peace as long as we are under evil leaders and this spirit of deception. Why are we praying for peace, when we should continue to pray for exposure, removal of corruption and call forth revival? In order for revival to birth, there will be chaos.

We often fall short, because this division and exposure is uncomfortable and frightening at times. We want things to be back to normal—peaceful. Who doesn’t want peace? But how can there be peace with the way our nation, and the world stands? The earth is groaning under the weight of this sin and evil.

During the days of Hitler, were churches just praying for peace? Were they just trying to be polite and not rock the boat so that Hitler’s evil would not touch them? If that is our motivation, God help us.

Things are becoming increasingly more uncomfortable. But get used to it. A line has been drawn in the sand. There is no middle ground. We can no longer go along to get along. It’s time we stop just praying for peace and continue to pray for God’s plan and purpose, exposures to continue and revival and repentance to come.

Father, we thank you that even in these unsettled times that You are the stability of our times—a wealth of salvation, wisdom and knowledge. May we hold fast to the fear of the Lord which will be our treasure. We pray that the fear of the Lord would once again descend upon our nation and we would turn back to You and cry out to You. In the face of evil, may we not shrink in fear, but stand in courage knowing if God be for us who can be against us?

May we be like the disciples in the book of Acts who chose You over comfort, peace, or protection. They chose to stand and continue to speak Your Word even in the face of threats, imprisonment, and verbal/physical attacks—and then asked for more courage to stand. Even if we are terrified by the threats of our enemies or crushed by the ongoing oppression of the wicked, may we not faint. Even if they bring trouble on us and hate us, give us strength. Confuse the speech of our enemies, O Lord! We see violence and riots coming to our cities surrounding us day and night as they try to fill our cities with crime, illegals and trouble. There is destruction everywhere; the streets are full of oppression and fraud. But we declare that we will leave our trouble with You Lord for You will defend us! You never let honest people be defeated. And so we pray that for us personally, for our families, for Donald Trump and all who have been under attack for daring to stand for righteousness and truth.

We declare that we shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living and we will not be afraid though ten thousand rise up against us. Many are saying,“God will not deliver them.” But you, Lord, are a shield around us, our glory, the One who lifts our head high. We call out to the Lord, and You answer us from Your holy mountain. For from the Lord comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.
