Father, Your Word says You will give us pastors and spiritual leaders who pursue YOUR heart. We ask You to cause our pastors and spiritual leader’s hearts to align with Your heart and Your plan for Your people. That they would be a shepherd following after the heart of God and they would feed us only with knowledge from Your Word and true understanding (Jeremiah 3:15).

I pray that our pastors/spiritual leaders would be ready in season and out of season. That they would preach the undefiled Word of God, convincing, rebuking, exhorting, and teaching with long suffering (2 Timothy 4:2).

Lord we ask that you would enable our pastors/spiritual leaders to be steadfast, immovable, and always abounding in Your work. (1 Corinthians 15:58)

Father, Your Word says the way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to ad-vice. We ask today that our pastors/spiritual leaders would seek wise counsel – that their hearts would be open to receive counsel, therefore, their plans and purposes will succeed. We declare it is Your purposes alone which will prevail (Proverbs 12:15, 11:14, 15:22, 19:20-21).

God, we ask that our pastors/spiritual leaders would possess great discernment and rightly dis-cern between good and evil. We pray that they will walk in righteousness and will not stumble. I thank You God, as we pray over our pastors/spiritual leaders that they will resist sin and temptation (Hos. 14:9).

Father, we ask that our pastors/spiritual leaders do not align with evil in any manner. Instead that they are doers of the Word and not hearers only. We pray that they would not align with idolatry, for they are the temple of the Living God. Lord, help them to keep themselves pure and holy before You (2 Corinthians 6:16).

Father, we ask that our pastors/spiritual leaders would be blameless as stewards of God, not self-willed or self-seeking. That they would not be quick-tempered, violent, or greedy. Instead, that they would operate in self-control and faithfulness, holding fast to the faithful Word of God. We pray that they would teach sound doctrine to exhort and convict others to walk in holiness. (Titus 1:5-9) May they have wisdom to discern the difference between the world’s wisdom/justice and Yours—and follow after Yours.

Finally, God, we ask that our pastors/spiritual leaders would arise in this hour and be a voice of righteousness. We pray they will have the courage to speak out against evil with boldness. We declare and decree our pastors/spiritual leaders will be Your voice of righteousness in this hour. Give them boldness God, that they would speak Your Word without hesitation.

We plead the blood of Jesus over our pastors/spiritual leaders. Strengthen them Lord. Give them rest. Encourage them today. Cover them with Your anointing and Your peace. We pray a hedge of protection around them and their families. We ask You to keep them safe and well, as they are Your hands and Your voice in this earth. This we ask in Jesus name. Amen.
