Week 23 – (2025) The Feud & Division

This isn’t what I was originally going to share this week, but completely changed everything because of the urgency I feel that we must address this in prayer THIS WEEK!

On June 6, over 1,000 rioters surrounded a federal law enforcement building in Los Angeles and assaulted ICE law enforcement officers, slashed tires, defaced buildings, and taxpayer funded property. It took the L.A. Police Department (LAPD) 2 hours to respond. Democrat legislators have added fuel to the fire by demonizing ICE agents which almost gives permission for this lawlessness.

Add that to the feud between President Trump and Elon Musk which has been claiming headlines. Some say it is real, others claim it is a tactic. I don’t know. What I do know is that it signals the spirit driving the division most things right now.

Additional news reports revealed that after calling out Trump over his “Big Beautiful Bill” Musk actually got into a fist fight with the Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessent. People had to step in and separate them.

With all the attacks against him and his company for his work on DOGE, stress has been mounting. That in itself keeps people on edge. What we are watching play out are both physical responses and spiritual manipulations.

On another front, in meetings I attended this past week, the spirit of division was on full display as well working to divide friends and groups. People took sides after I won a hotly contested election recently in Oklahoma. Afterwards, I made a post to the group calling for an end to the division and a call for unity now that the election was over and decided. The Chair echoed my call for unity. But the very next post was someone intent on keeping it stirred up posting something meant to keep everyone enraged against each other. The only thing it will produce is an inability to continue productive actions due to strife and division. It is a time waster and the devil loves it.

That is Satan’s purpose to keep people divided against each other. When people choose offense, they become a tool of Satan. He then has their permission to manipulate their minds and hearts. The very words they hear—are not necessarily even what is said. But that is the nature of deception. Words and intents are twisted and run through the lens of offense, that continue to keep anger bubbling in their hearts.

Anytime we are effective at taking back the Kingdom, America, or our families, Satan will hit back hard by planting offense and division into minds and hearts. I’ve stated it a hundred times, where there is offense, there is deception. The last few months, I’ve watched more antics of “children” in adult bodies acting out in ways that is highly embarrassing. It is made worse when you take into consideration that most call themselves Christians. But the end result is always the same—division. We have to do better.

This is a two-fold call to prayer and a warning. We cannot allow ourselves to enter into the realm of offense! We must guard our hearts with all diligence for out of them flow the issues of life (Prov 4:23). When we do not guard our heart against offense—we open it to rage, deception, hurt, victimization, etc. We have a choice and God’s Word says, “choose life” (Deut 30:19). Let’s make that choice.

As watchmen on the wall of prayer, we must also stand in the gap against this onslaught being unleashed with the division

between Trump and Musk, and more. That apparent severing of their relationship, is indicative of so much more. We need to pray for healing. This is an opportunity, as Musk is under enormous pressure and scrutiny, to pray for laborers across his path so he can be born again.

Their “feud” erupted over the “big beautiful bill,” which is now in the senate and needs prayer as well. It is a good thing or a bad thing? I have very mixed feelings. On top of that, there have been many warnings of a pending attack against our nation leading up to, or on, July 4— an effort to continue to try to decimate and divide. While we don’t know any real details—the Holy Spirit does. Our call is simply to pray and turn the tide on this ongoing attack of division and terrorism intent on destruction.

Father, we love You and thank You for who You are and that nothing takes You by surprise. We bind the spirit of division that has been unleashed against our nation, our president and government and our families. And we loose the spirit of forgiveness, truth and understanding to come into these relationships. Where Satan is working to divide and conquer, we pray for Your spirit to come and bring unity and healing.

May disagreements not turn to fist fights or destruction of relationships, but may we return to a place of civil discussions and reconciliation. Help us to be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath. When in times of tension help us to reply with a soft answer that turns away wrath rather than grievous words that stir up anger. We pray especially for our elected officials that they will grow in maturity and the ability to discuss and negotiate to a place that is healthy for our nation rather than fighting for their own gain. We pray regarding those who are there for that end that they would be removed and replaced so that the undermining division that has been at work will no longer have a place to exist.

We pray for our family, and any family, where there has been division or relationships that have been cut off. We declare that they are being put back together by the healing power of the Holy Spirit. We uproot hurtful words that have been spoken and declare new foundations are being built to restart and restore. Where Satan has been working overtime to create offense and twist words meant to reconcile, we plead the blood of Jesus over tense relationships.

We bind envy, self-seeking intentions and confusion which has brought evil plans into our nation and families. We pray that godly wisdom will be poured out into these contentious hotbeds of division for words and wisdom that are peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

We pray specifically over the relationship between President Trump and Elon Musk. They have both sacrificed so much emotionally and financially, and must be exhausted. We pray for rest for their minds, hearts and souls. Holy Spirit we ask that You would minister to both men and bring healing to their relationship. Help them remember what has been accomplished. May they lay down their pride and feeling of what they did, to acknowledge what You have done and learn to give YOU the glory.

Whatever terrorist attacks may have been planned against our nation, Father we ask that they would be uncovered and thwarted before they can take place. We know there are many living among us who desire our destruction. We also bind the spirit of division and lawlessness that has been unleashed in Los Angeles with the rioters attacking ICE agents. We pray protection over the agents and their families and call an end to the violence. We plead the blood of Jesus over each agent, their family, their workplace and declare this assignment of assault to stop. We pray that the police will do their job and promptly come support ICE agents and any law enforcement agent working to remove illegals. We speak SHALOM over Los Angeles and our nation and all assignments meant for destruction.

Lord, You have said America will be saved. And so we take hold of that promise and declare that You are Lord over this nation. We pray, as your watchmen on the wall, for Your plans and purposes for America to prevail.

Help us to always endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. We desperately need You Lord and thank You that You are bringing turn around—even this week.
