There is not only a spiritual attack against our families and property (what we own) but also a physical attack against our homes and land in particular. Many states are implementing new laws for eminent domain to allow them to “legally” take land for the government. This can be done by rezoning and reclassifying land so they can then either take it or buy it back, without our consent, at ridiculously low prices. Check your city council agenda and “improvement” laws that are getting passed. It is happening everywhere.
Remember what happens in the natural is indicative of what is happening in the spiritual.
Interestingly I recently met minister/author Steve Hemphill. He shared with me how he got started in a prayer ministry. He received a phone call from a man who started by saying, “I’m going to kill myself…” The man had encountered demonic activity in his home and didn’t know what to do to make it stop. Steve didn’t know what to do either! He wasn’t into deliverance ministry and his mind was racing for an answer for the desperate man. That’s when out of his spirit jumped a scripture about staking out the land. Steve shared it and encouraged the man to write out scriptures and “stake” them in the four corners of the house and tell the demon to leave.
He did and the demonic activity immediately stopped. Steve realized he had hit upon an important principle that is actually all over the Bible about marking the land.
Personally, I have seen the importance of this in another area—when I was trying to sell a car that wouldn’t sell. It didn’t make sense that I was getting no offers. It was a beautiful, popular sports car priced at a great price. It had sat for several months with no offers. After I “staked out the land” the car sold in a week.
We need to “stake out” our families, our homes, our businesses. We need to also consider a trip to our city halls and our state capitols to “stake them out.” As the Enemy tries to take our land—-we take back our land—all that belongs to us including our families, our cities and our nation.
Father, You said that every place we set our foot You have given to us. That includes our families, our homes, our businesses, our jobs, our cities, state and nation. We have spiritual authority in these areas and we take it and declare it. They are ours!
We take back all the Enemy has stolen—or is trying to steal. We declare, “You can’t have it!” We call back our family members (take time to name them). We declare as for me and my house they will serve the Lord and that the blinders of pride, offense, deception, etc. be broken off of them now so they can see and know the truth. You said that we will see our sons and daughters come from afar. We lift up our eyes and look about us. They all assemble and come to us. We will watch, look and be radiant and our hearts will throb and swell with joy as we watch this come to pass.
We declare over our homes and businesses that they will not be stolen by trickery, lack, etc. We will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest. We declare that any attempt to steal our homes, businesses or land and acquire them by eminent domain, bank foreclosure, rezoning/reclassifying, etc., will be blocked. We declare that You supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory so that when rent or mortgage payments are due, we are able to pay them on time, every time. We have more than enough to meet our needs and help others. For You are able to bless us abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that we need, we will abound in every good work.
Father You see the nefarious ways that our government is working to take what we have labored for and give it to others. How they are working behind the scenes to change laws, move boundaries and steal from our pockets. Your Word is clear that we must not tamper with a neighbor’s property line, which has been previously established. And yet they are trying to tamper with ours.
You see also how the current administration has turned over America’s sovereignty for our health decisions without a vote—moving that boundary as well. We declare over those who are implementing these practices against us, “Do not trust in extortion or put vain hope in those stolen goods; though your riches seem to increase, do not set your heart on them for they will fly away! For God rewards everyone according to what they have done!” Father You said, “Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” May what they have done in secret be brought to light and may the fear of the Lord come upon them.
And so we stake out, with the Word of God and oil of the Spirit, our land, our homes, our jobs, our families, our city, state and nation. We see the thieves working to steal it, but ask for a hedge of protection around it and all that we have. We ask that You would bless the work of our hands, so that our flocks (possessions) and herds (businesses and profit) are spread throughout the land and increase and they will not be able to touch it.
We declare that any area that has been draining our finances, where we have earned wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it, will be stopped. Forgive us if we have opened a door, stopped tithing or done anything that has caused this drain. We repent and release our finances back to You knowing that You release the blessing. We also declare that their agenda to drain our finances will be stopped and will no longer succeed. May their intent to follow after their father and steal, kill and destroy, be their own end result, but Your protection be around us. Bless us O Lord for we remain trustworthy.
