The Lord prompted me that we are to pray to break the power of the manipulators and lies which is running our society. Lies are a weapon. In Hitler’s book, “Mein Kampf” he explained his strategy to make a lie so enormous that no one would believe that someone “could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously.” It is the strategy that we see used today. The bigger the lie the better and then repeat it over and over (and get the media to parrot it.)
Not long ago someone debated with me when I pointed out numerous lies being told to the American people. They immediately bristled, “ALL the media are confirming it and they can’t all be wrong,” the individual insisted.
Well, actually yes they can. That is the point of propaganda and its intent to deceive. If everyone says the same thing, with the same words, it causes confusion because its hard to imagine that people would lie so audaciously. But they can and they do.
The Bible says A LOT about liars and the danger of listening to lies or being one who spreads them. In our nation, at the very top, is a liar who has been consumed by the Father of lies. And what is at the top will always filter down. This is the spirit that has been poured out on our nation. That is what we are going to pray about this week and break the power of that spirit as we bind the lies, the lying spirits and deception that has been unleashed.
Father, we pray over our nation and over the earth which groans under the weight of wicked rulers. Those who call evil good and good evil. Who promote the wicked and punish those who do right. While righteousness exalts a nation, sin condemns the people. America has been overtaken by sin promoted by leadership as a lifestyle. Lord forgive us and deliver us from these wicked leaders who refuse to bow before You. Do not hold us accountable for their actions for we did not vote them into office. We do not support their arrogance, lies or wickedness. We call on You Lord to cleanse our land, remove those who practice wickedness and bring revival.
We have been subjected to lies from the government and the media. Their lies are poured out like water and regurgitated by others to try to convince us they are fact. Who and what do we trust Lord? Give us wisdom and discernment to know the truth from a lie. We ask for godly wisdom and insight—especially as we go to the polls to vote. Who is telling the truth? You know and we ask that you speak to us Holy Spirit for you are the revealer of truth. We pray that the spirit of offense will not blind us or create deception. We bind its ability to operate in our lives, in our land, or in the voting booth.
You said lying lips are an abomination to you. You said a false witness will not go unpunished and he who tells lies will not escape. So Lord according to Your Word so be it. Ananias and Saphira were struck dead for lying to Peter—the Church—because they did not fear the Lord. That is the root issue. So we pray for the fear of the Lord to return not only to the Church but to the world. As it does, we declare that lies and manipulation will no longer be tolerated, but that lies with stick in their mouths and those who speak them will fall into the pit they have dug by their own words.
We declare that those who have risen up as false witnesses against their neighbors without cause, and who deceive with their lips, or in their campaign mailers, or in their positions of leadership, that their mouths will be shut just as you shut the lions mouths in the day of Daniel. We pray for the politicians who feel they must compromise truth or justice to be a “statesman” to remain in office. Instead, let those who courageously stand for righteousness be overwhelmingly elected as people recognize their unwavering and courageous stand for what is right, just and true.
Father you have heard the lies which they continue to speak and publish about COVID-19 and the vax and how they are now encouraging parents to put that ungodly substance into the children. Expose their lies and the danger. Father we pray protection over these little ones. We pray for parents to wake up, research and be willing to say NO! Bring the truth to light Father. (If you are reading this and have taken the vax, I pray that you are not offended by that statement. This isn’t about whatever choice you or I made. It is about protecting the children and others from what is becoming more and more clear—-that something is desperately wrong with a vax that is causing young people, in the prime of life, to fall down dead.)
Father we pray that the ongoing lies regarding January 6, against Trump and his administration to try to indict him, will fall to the ground and be exposed completely. We bind the work and actions of the media and politicians that continue to speak these lies. May they be silenced for they speak arrogantly against the truth with pride and contempt. Lord hide us in Your secret shelter from the lies and attacks. May they be shamed and dishonored who attack us without cause.
Our children have had their ears filled with these lies—our nation has been filled with these lies. Protect us and deliver us Lord. You declared that all who make a practice of lying will be thrown in the lake of fire and brimstone, which is the second death. Their actions are so dangerous! Lord we pray open their eyes. If any can be saved, we pray for them now.
May the righteous thrive and be exalted so that the people rejoice. We declare we will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
