We only need to read the names given to recently proposed legislation to realize how diabolical and twisted our government has become.
The names of bills are often completely opposite of the content. This is a tactic used to trick those who don’t actually read the bill into believing the legislation is good and is what the name conveys–which it is not. It is also useful for political campaigns as conservatives vote against these liberal bills with a conservative names attached to them. So it sounds like the conservative has lost their mind that they wouldn’t vote for it. People, sadly, are easily deceived in this manner because they don’t actually research the bills.
For example, Biden’s H.R. 1 “For the People Act” wasn’t “for the people.” It nationalized our election system. Made voter identity verification more difficult, not less. It removed safe guards in the mail-in voter process which is already rife with corruption. And it passed.
How about “The American Rescue Plan Act” doesn’t rescue anyone but adds an additional 1.9 trillion dollars in debt and increased inflation. It was said to be a COVID-19 “stimulus pkg,” but only 9% of the funds went to anything close to stimulus funding for Americans. (Not to mention if you are a white male, too bad so sad, you don’t qualify. It only goes to favored minority groups.)
New legislation, which already passed this week in the House, is H.R.8404, misnamed the “Respect for Marriage Act.” It would be more appropriately named the “Disdain for Marriage Act” as it is simply a same-sex marriage bill. This legislation would nullify the Defense of Marriage Act passed in 1996 and States would be stripped of their authority to define marriage as a legal union between a man and a woman.
The breakdown of marriage and families is a core goal in establishing socialism and destroying America. This is simply one more step in their plan. H.R. 8404 is gaining support in the Senate. Let us pray that this bill will not pass as it is voted on this week and for the states to maintain their Constitutional rights to make these decisions.
Father,
We thank You that You are God and that You hear when we call. We continue to pray that You would heal our land and that we are a people who hunger and thirst after righteousness and You said we would be filled.
We lift up the current federal Congress and also our state Congress’. We pray for godly men and women who stand for righteousness and we pray out those who vote for evil. We pray as we head into the mid-term elections that those who have legislated these diabolical and sinful practices and voted them into law would be voted out. We pray for our elections to be fair and the outcomes actual.
Lord you see the globalist’s determination to destroy the biblical definition of marriage and to destroy the family unit. We pray that You would intervene on our behalf. We pray the divorce rate to drop and biblical marriage saved.
We declare that this bill will not gain the needed votes to pass in the Senate and we reject every plan and piece of legislation coming out of the federal Congress that tries to force unbiblical ideals and philosophies on us, our children and our nation.
Lord we ask that You would continue to expose the evil agendas of those who arrogantly oppose You. And that they would not be passed into law! We pray that the American people will not be complacent or be deceived by the deceptive names given, but will recognize that the titles do not match the content.
Please forgive us for allowing and voting for individuals into governmental and leadership positions who oppose and dishonor You and Your Word. Expose the lies so that we can clearly see those who are for righteousness and those who are not.
We bind and forbid the efforts of this administration and the 117th Congress that would continue to try to codify laws to remove the Constitutional power given to the states–in this case for each state to define the laws of marriage. We also forbid and bind the efforts to further legalize and bless that which You have called sin.
Your Word says, “Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled…” We declare and come into agreement with Your Word that marriage is between one man and one woman and will not be expanded or changed into any other definition by law.
You have said that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God. Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men… Father we pray that the blanket of deception that ignores Your Word regarding this would be removed in our nation. Where our children have been taught it is discrimination to oppose same-sex marriage, open their eyes to see that it is Your Word that opposes it for it is sin and an abomination before You. Open the eyes of all who have been deceived to believe it is love to embrace these practices. Show us, as the Church, how to love those bound in this sin and deception, without agreeing with the practice itself.
Lord, although those who practice homosexuality and those who now attempt to pass this law know Your righteous decree, for You have said it is written in our hearts. You have said such things deserve death. They not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. We pray for them now that they will wake up and escape deception and eternal death and judgment coming their way if they continue on this path.
We pray that HR 8404, the “Disdain for Marriage Act”, will fall flat and will not pass. We bind it from passage & pray its true purpose exposed. We pray it would be blocked by the Spirit and we would see it in the natural that they will fall short of the votes needed. Purify our hearts and our nation so that we will once honor You, honor marriage and follow after You.
