This past week the Supreme Court granted a temporary stay to a previous ruling. The stay allows the U.S. military to ban those who identify as transgender, as the case continues to be reviewed.
This is a touchy subject for some—especially those who have friends/family who are in gender confusion. It certainly is an issue that needs prayer.
From a place of protection for our nation, the move is wise. From reports during the Obama and Biden administrations, there were many gender-confused enlistees using their entrance into the military as a means to get transitional surgery and meds paid for by the govt. That is wrong on every level. If they enlisted, they should be there to do their work—-not take time off for surgery and recovery on our dime. The fact that it was allowed speaks volumes. That has now been brought to a halt—as has allowing them entrance into the military at this time.
According to a report in Epoch Times, “President Donald Trump, in a January executive order, said that people who express a gender identity that diverges from their sex ‘cannot satisfy the rigorous standards necessary for military service’ and directed military officials to update rules to that effect.
“In a memorandum in February, Defense Department officials said that personnel ‘with gender dysphoria or who have a current diagnosis or history of, or exhibit symptoms consistent with, gender dysphoria’ would be discharged from the military unless they were given an exemption.”
First, this decision is in the best interests of national safety. Prior to the Obama/Biden administrations, the military was about protecting our nation, not about protecting someone’s feelings. We need to remember what the military is there for. For example, enlisting a woman who “identifies” as a man is problematic on every level. Whose barracks will she sleep in? When expected to do the work or a man and can’t hold up, who suffers? Would those relying on her be in danger over these issues? Because let’s be honest, on average, men are physically stronger than women as they were created different! To pretend otherwise is delusional.
Second, it is in the best interest for those who serve in the military, especially if on the front lines, to not have to worry about if they are offending someone. Our military need to be able to depend on who is in their troop. If someone is so emotionally unstable that not referring to them by the pronouns they have chosen sends them over the top, that is an instability that causes danger for everyone.
But certainly another area for prayer are those caught in this delusion, who will take it as one more offense against them adding to the large wound they already deal with. When someone is in confusion over physical identity, they will be in confusion over their spiritual identity and destiny. Let’s pray.
Father, We pray for all who are struggling with their identity —including gender-identity. We pray for the deep wounds of their soul to be healed. That they would awake to understand they are fearfully and wonderfully made (by You) and that You have a plan and purpose for their lives. That they would come to know You and become a new creation where the old has gone including old hurts, deception, wrong thoughts and attitudes. We speak over them, “The new is here! Be renewed in the spirit of your mind which, after God, is created in righteousness and true holiness!” We pray they would climb out the hole of deception that has held them back from who they are.
Where words have been spoken over them that have diminished their feelings of worth, created tears or rage, we pray that they would have an encounter with You and that the veil of delusion over their eyes and mind would be destroyed so that they can walk in who You created them to be.
Where some have been physically altered via surgery or drugs, we pray for a miraculous healing and restoration of minds and bodies to restore that which was stolen.
Lord we also pray for our military that has been compromised by the forced vaccines, diminished by those who were removed who refused to take the vaccine or were vaccine injured, and struggling with the entrance of LGBTQ+ enlistees. It created a whole new dynamic within the living conditions and behaviors for those serving our country. We pray that any distracting or compromising force within our military be removed so that they can effectively do their jobs with as much safety as possible.
We pray for the members of the U.S. Supreme Court as they continue to review this case. We declare that the temporary ban will become permanent. And that the insanity that has ignored and renounced science will come to an end and sanity restored. We know that we are in a day in which those who do not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, are being given over to a depraved mind so that they do what ought not to be done. Lord if at all possible we call them back from the deviation of moral and ethical standards to knowing You.
Note: The definition of “depraved mind” is characterized by corruption, evil, and a perverted state, marked by a significant deviation from moral and ethical standards.
