What is Sharia Law and why should we be concerned? “Sharia” is the Arabic term for Islamic law, and is literally translated as “a path to water where people can drink and seek nourishment.” That’s the definition, but those who have lived under the brutality of it’s religious and political ideology and rigid rules of conduct, describe it much differently—especially women. During the Obama years there was an intentional increase of relocating Muslims onto American soil with the help of then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. According to reports, between 2001-2013 1.5 million Muslim migrants were given green cards and relocated here. But during the Obama administration that number jumped significantly after Clinton made a statement about a goal for 155,000 to be admitted each year. The question is why? It is a fact that large numbers of Muslim populations have been “relocated” into our nation. States with large numbers include New York, Illinois, New Jersey, Michigan and now a special city created in Texas. “EPIC City” stands for East Plano Islamic Center” in Texas. It has been defined as “a master-planned 402 acre Islamic community-center residential development located near a town called Josephine—approximately 40 minutes from Dallas. The proposed development is to include a thousand homes, a mosque, apartments, a school and more in Collin county. Last week, Governor Abbott challenged the project stating they are trying to circumvent Texas laws. A lawyer for EPIC has denied claims of such a takeover and calls Governor Abbott’s concerns “racial profiling.” |
Well if the racial profiling claim is true, it is with good reason when we consider what has taken place historically. Where there have been large Muslim populations come together in previously non-Muslim areas, things begin to change as they begin to get Muslims elected into political positions. For example, in April 2023, the mayor of Minneapolis signed an ordinance into law which allowed the ritual Islamic call to prayer to be broadcast over loudspeakers five times a day from the city’s nearly two dozen mosques. How did such a change take place? Three of the 13 city council members were Muslim and pushed for a change in the ordinance. In Texas, Rep. Salman Bhojani, D-Euless, became one of two Muslims to serve in the Texas Legislature. In this session alone he has already filed two bills to honor Islamic holidays and for Muslim marriage ceremonies to be honored. According to Pew Research Center, by 2050, if it receives just a moderate amount of immigration, Sweden will be 20 percent Muslim. If it receives high immigration, it will be 30 percent Muslim. In the UK, the second largest city in England, Birmingham, is already 30 percent Islamic. According to a report in January 2024, an entire stadium of Muslims gathered there shouting the Islamic takbir worshipping Allah. History, warns us of the danger of ignoring these actions where large communities get established and begin to implement Muslim ideology as precedent. In Michigan, where Obama relocated a large Muslim population, congressional district 12 is now represented by an anti-American and antisemite Muslim House member Rashida Tlaib. Since then other Muslims have worked to get elected as political leaders in that district which has a growing Muslim community. What some do not know is that the Islamic bible, the “Quran”, calls for the destruction of infidels. That would be anyone who doesn’t follow Islam. That is a very real threat that cannot be ignored as we watch a growing trend in America. THIS WEEK’S PRAYER Father, You said that Your people perish for lack of knowledge and we are to be wise as serpents, yet harmless as doves. We pray that over our elected officials and Americans as we see a growing number of mosques being built across our nation and a growing number of Muslims elected to office. Give them and us wisdom to recognize where Islam is a political ideology rather than protected as a religion. Give us wisdom to know what is “freedom of religion” and when it becomes political takeover and removal of our freedom disguised as “peaceful religion.” We pray for eyes to be opened regarding the danger of Sharia Law and the encroachment of this ideology in our political system, educational system and nation. May we not blindly “go along to get along”, but, like Gov Abbott, be brave enough to speak out when the laws of our nation are being circumvented in an effort to silence and control. We pray, O Lord our God, deliver us from the hand of those intent on our destruction, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You alone are God. We declare that in this month of Nissan that You alone are the Lord. You have made the heavens with all their host along with the earth and all that is on it. You have made the seas and all that is in them. You give life to all of them and the heavenly host bows down before You. We bow down before You and call on Your name, just as Esther and the Jews did long ago to deliver us from those intent on our destruction and removal of our freedom to worship You and the strength of our nation. We continue to pray for President Trump, Vice-President Vance, their families, the cabinet members and those who are speaking into their ears. May they have wisdom and discernment. Remove any from them who have evil intent. We pray that this administration will not be hamstrung in their ability to act, but will be able to be productive and work in unity to restore our nation economically, educationally, politically and in unity again—as one nation under God as the blinders are removed and Your name is glorified.
