Last week President Trump took the action he promised when he ran for office. He wrote an Executive Order to eliminate the Dept of Education. Within each state there is a connected department, which probably should be removed as well. Removed and then we start over because they have utterly failed.
We spend more money per student than any other country with some of the poorest results. The money obviously isn’t funneled to the teachers—who are often some of the lowest paid workers with one of the hardest jobs. In my state, teachers use their own money to buy supplies and decorations for their classrooms!
The Dept of Education was started under President Carter. Since then over $30 trillion dollars has been poured into a department that has proven ineffective at increasing educational standards. Instead, money was used to rewrite curriculum to implement liberal ideology into almost every single course. It focused on training and intent on teaching kids to hate America, hate God, hate their parents. It has been what is wrong with our educational system for a very long time.
Those at the top worked to implement the alphabet crazy, liberal ideology to indoctrinate our children such as DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion), CRT (Critical Race Theory), and LGBTQ+ books put into libraries such as “Heather has Two Mommies.” When the “alphabet” instruction was exposed they often just renamed it and kept teaching it to our kids.
According to the World Health Organization one in six or one in seven kids between 10-19 are experiencing mental health issues. I dare say it is more than that after the years of telling kids they can choose their gender, and providing them with gender-changing drugs without their parent’s knowledge. Then they wonder why these gender-confused kids, become angry and suicidal! As mental instability and suicides escalated, the education departments, both federally and at the state level, wanted even more federal dollars to “fix” the problem they were creating with their identity confusion training.
Are you attending your child or grandchild’s school daily? Of course not, but if you aren’t, do you really know what they are being taught?
Our grandson came home from school the other day (he’s 5 and attending a public school). He told us that George Washington put people in prison and was a bad man. Our eyes widened. What the heck was he being taught about Washington as a general and eventually the first president? It didn’t sound like the same history book we knew. What else was he being taught? The one good thing about COVID was that parents received a wake-up call as they saw glimpses of what their kids were being taught via online learning.
This week we need to pray as the National Education Association is dismantled. And in light of that change, that state and school superintendents will be compelled to return education back to actual education of our kids in reading, writing, arithmetic, along with true American history, not indoctrination.
Is 30:1-3 says, “Woe to the obstinate” declares the Lord, “who carry out plans that are not mine, forming an alliance, but not by my Spirit, heaping sin upon sin; who go down to Egypt (government reliance) without consulting me; who look for help to Pharaoh’s protection (ungodly leadership) and to Egypt’s shade for refuge. But Pharaoh’s protection will be to your shame, Egypt’s shade will bring you disgrace.”
Pharaoh and Egypt represent reliance on government and leaders as the provision rather than God. What it did in the days of the Israelites was to enslave them. Our reliance on the NEA and state educational facilities, run by “woke” leadership has resulted in that same enslavement. Depraved minds who allowed males in female dressing rooms, males competing against females as if they were female, revisionist history, racist ideology, shaming and dumbing down of educational standards. “Pharaoh” has never been the answer. It’s high time it changed. But change doesn’t necessarily assure us that the change will be good. This is why we MUST pray as these changes are implemented that what emerges is a restoration of educational standards and schools who aren’t trying to remove kids from their parents, but parents who are stepping in as the true educators and overseers of their children’s learning and what they are being taught.
Father, we thank you that the educational system in America is now going to see an overhaul at the top and we pray that it filters all the way down. We declare that as the Dept of Education is dismantled that what emerges will be a return to godly values and principles removing the woke ideology, gender confusion and misguided training that has been taught in years past.
We pray for the state and school superintendents that they will not simply see this as a money windfall now coming to them to continue those same failed standards, but that they will use this as an opportunity to review practices and remove that which has been harmful in the educating of young minds. We pray that this will be a time of cleansing, restoration and return to the basics and creating a stable and strong foundation for the children in America.
We pray for leaders, teachers and students alike that they would not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of their minds, that by testing they may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. We pray that any teachers, professors or leaders working in that field who are there to indoctrinate kids into socialism, communism and humanism would be removed and replaced with teachers who are truly invested in seeing kids learn and walk in their identity to reach their destiny. That the spirit of insanity and mental instability that was released through woke ideology we declare it bound and cast out from our schools and replaced with the instruction that they are created by God and fearfully and wonderfully made. That schools would become a safe place to learn, free from woke indoctrination, terrorism, drugs, bullying and confusion.
We pray over the kids who either can’t read or struggle to but have been passed from one grade to the next. Where our system has failed them, we pray for a reversal, for healing, for restoration of the years they lost that they will get the education they need to be accomplished adults.
Your Word says, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.” We pray that the Bible will once again be implemented in instruction within our schools for kids of all ages and institutions of higher learning that training in righteousness and wisdom will once again be a valued commodity. That the children of America would be trained up in the way they should go; so that even when they are old they will not depart from it. That no matter whether they turn to the right or to the left, their ears will hear a voice behind them, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
Romans 12:2, Ps 139:14, 2 Tim 3:16, Prov 22:6, Is 30:21
