As you know hundreds of thousands of people have travelled to Washington, D.C. to be part of the inauguration and transition of power which takes place on Jan. 20. President-elect Trump called a pre-inauguration rally on Jan 19 at a location that holds 20,000 inside and then the crowd that will amass outside. That right there needs prayer. But we need to be also praying protection against any attacks, uprisings, protests or chaos that could be unleashed anywhere in our nation intent on causing destruction.

There is the Inauguration itself and the Parade that follows. You may remember after his first inauguration, Trump got out of the limousine and walked beside the car waving—much to secret service’s dismay. Then that evening there are numerous inaugural balls put on by various groups and states, that Trump will visit several of them.

In reverence to Jimmy Carter’s passing, according to protocol, flags would still be at half-mast on the 20th. However, TX Gov Abbott and TN Gov Lee have both declared on the day of the inauguration, they will raise them back up. House Speaker Mike Johnson said he will also order the flags raised at the Capitol for the inauguration. This has become an area of contention for those who desire to dishonor Trump—also an area of prayer.

The inauguration should be a day of celebrating or at least respectful quiet from the dissenting camp—but up to this point those who hate Trump have been WAY too accommodating on the upcoming transfer of power, which makes many of us leery. They didn’t work for four years to remove him and then four years to keep him out of office to quietly step aside now. It is wisdom for us to pray and surround Donald Trump/J.D. Vance and their families and ALL associated with the inaugural events, and our nation with prayer for protection over the events and our nation from ANYTHING nefarious planned.

Continue to pray that the hostages which Hamas has said they will release the 33-34 (the first phase) the day before Trump takes power. So far we don’t know for sure the total number of hostages still alive. We have heard 7 are Americans. However, for each Israeli or American hostage released—it has been rumored Hamas gets 50 of their criminals. Truly a concerning negotiation. Please pray.

The Los Angeles fires are still not under control which also needs our focused prayer for those in danger of losing their homes and those who already have. Not to mention those who have lost loved ones in these fires. The similarities of response between the LA fires, Maui fires and N.C. hurricane floods, are striking. $700 offered to families as compensation. Some Illegals coming into our country get housing, food, phones—but American citizens offered a mere $700 after losing everything? How do you rebuild a life with $700? Next week I’ll do a deeper dive on the LA fires about areas coming to light you may not know.

Father, we thank You that we can enter Your gates with thanksgiving to declare that You are the King of kings and Lord of lords. We put our trust in You as we near the transition of power from the Biden administration to the Trump administration. Father we pray for Biden and his staff as they leave. We pray that each would come to know You and that any who have a heart of stone, turn it to a heart of flesh and may they come into the knowledge of Your will for their lives. Who knows but that this is a last chance to repent and know You. We pray as they leave that they would not cause destruction, take files or leave in a way that causes grief for the incoming administration. We pray protection over the White House from vandalism, the planting of listening devices or destructive elements that could cause harm to those taking over.

Father we pray for Donald Trump, J.D. Vance and their families as we enter the inaugural weekend with a multitude of events planned in which enemies will know exactly where Trump and Vance will be. We pray for a hedge of protection around them and their families and all who are there, that any destruction, chaos or attack planned will not succeed. We pray protection over the city—and every city in America– -against attack.

We join together declaring, Ps 91 that because we dwell in the shelter of the Most High we will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. We declare, You are our refuge and fortress, our God, in whom we trust.

Thank You that You save Donald Trump/JD Vance and the events of the transfer of power, from every hidden trap of the Enemy, false accusation or deadly pestilence/virus. We declare over them and over the LA Fires that You will cover them and our nation with Your feathers, and under Your wings of refuge. Your faithfulness will be our shield. So we will not fear the terror of night, nor attacks by day, nor the pestilence/fires that stalk in the darkness, nor the plague/virus that destroys at midday.

A thousand may fall at our side, even 10,000 at our right hand, but it will not come near Trump/Vance or continue to destroy LA or our nation. Instead, we will observe as the wicked perish in judgment. We declare, “The Lord is our refuge,” and because we make the Most High our dwelling, no harm will overtake Trump/Vance or our nation and no disaster will come near our homes—we declare that the fires will stop consuming the homes in LA and will not begin in other locations.

Thank You that You command Your angels to guard us in all our ways for they will lift us up in their hands, so that we will not strike our feet against the rocks. We will tread on the lion and the cobra. We will trample the fiercest opponents. Because You love us, You will rescue us. You will protect us, because we acknowledge and honor Your name.

As we call on You, You answer us. You will be with us in the trouble of the LA fires, in this transition of power and over our nation to deliver us and honor us. With long life You will satisfy us and show us Your salvation. We pray for the release of the hostages, release of the J6 and any other political prisoners such as Tina Peters the DAY Trump takes office. May justice be restored and the harassment of just people come to an end.
