We are rapidly heading to a spiritual confrontation of epic proportions. What we see in the natural realm is tied to what we can feel taking place in the spirit realm. Only God knows the true timetable but there are dates which we know to watch. Last weekend, Saturday, March 23-March 24 marked Purim which is the Jewish holiday commemorating when the Jews were saved from Haman in the ancient Persian Empire as recounted in the book of Esther.
Is Israel not in the same fight against Hamas? Where Hamas vowed to destroy Israel and remove Jews from the face of the earth, but where they are the ones now being routed.
We are also on the threshold of what could be the fulfillment of biblical prophecy in which a red heifer would be sacrificed on the Mount of Olives in preparation for the rebuilding of the Temple. There are currently 4 of 5 red heifers which are still considered “without blemish” and a possibility to fulfill that prophecy of purification. Hamas stated that the Oct 7 attack against Israel, was in part, to prevent that sacrifice from taking place. (Read Numbers 19 for additional info about the importance of that sacrifice). A “massive altar” was also recently constructed on the Mount of Olives inching us one step closer to the possible fulfillment of this end times prophecy. It will certainly spark an altercation.
What currently stands at the top of the Mount of Olives? The monument to Islam, the Dome of the Rock. It is the pinnacle of this tension as it is the location where Jesus ascended to Heaven (Acts 1:11) and where He will return. And the place which Islam now considers their holy place.
In our nation the tension continues to mount as well by those intent on destroying America (remove God) with their determination to destroy Donald Trump. Honestly for those still unwilling to pray for Trump or question whether they can cast their vote for him, I have no words other than WAKE UP! The obvious spiritual attack and demonic determination to eliminate him at all cost combined with the bizarre and unjust judgments made against him—even if you don’t like the man, the outright obliteration of his rights and freedoms should outrage even the staunchest of Democrats.
The closer we get to the November election the more intense it will become and the more chaos they will try to unleash. It is the tension between chaos and that for which we pray—repentance & revival.
What can we ascertain? Purim is about Rescue. Passover is about Purification and Deliverance. What happened in between took place on the Mount of Olives. It was the place of His triumphant entry. It was a place of prayer and travail (Garden of Gethsemane). And it is a place of hope and expectation.
The spiritual tension is mounting because Satan, who has held that physical position knows the fight is near. We are not just here to observe but to remain engaged in purifying our selves, our homes (our families) in repentance and purification of our hearts as we remain steadfast in hope and expectation for what lies ahead and ultimately His return. Where are we at in the timetable? God knows..
Father,
We await Your return just as those of generations before us. May we be ever watching and ever prepared even in the midst of this turmoil. May the Church awake and have our “lamps full of oil” not complacently doing nothing, but as laborers in the field for the harvest is ripe and increasing. We pray for an increase of laborers to join us so that the harvest is not lost.
We declare that the Church worldwide would awake and be as the sons of Issachar to understand the times and know what we should do by the Spirit. We declare the days of complacency in the Church to be over. Instead may Your fire shine bright in us so that we are Your light to the world. May our cities be established as a blaze on a hill that cannot be hidden, but be a light as people awake spiritually so they know where they can run for help. May we be ready for this revival that is coming. We pray now for those who need deliverance from the demonic influences that have blinded their eyes and from those bearing the wounds of the past. We pray now for their deliverance and healing to walk in newness of life.
We declare our feet are planted firmly on Your Word so that we will not moved. No matter what storms may come, we declare peace be still and take the authority You have given us to calm the waves. As we draw near to this inevitable spiritual clash, may we discern what is taking place and what we are to do rather than stick our heads in the sand. As the tension increases, and the Enemy’s darts intensify against us, may we be as the disciples who simply used each attack as a launching pad to speak louder and go further. Give us courage to be Your light and bring You glory.
