How do we stop the relentless march toward evil and tyranny? Obviously prayer is our primary step, but what if prayer isn’t enough?
What if God is waiting for us to also take action?
I often hear people say, “Well, I’m called as an intercessor.” If you are reading this, I would say you are as well, as am I. Bless you. But we are losing our nation because many stop there. For example, in a nearby city with a majority of conservative Republicans, their last four elections have had between a 10%-20% voter turnout. Because of that low number (apathy), according to election results, the ones who did turn out were not conservatives. Where were the Christians?
We have a majority that is continually getting beaten by the minority—-because we pray but don’t act.
That city now has many resolutions and initiatives that have passed which are in complete contradiction to biblical values—and we have no one to blame but ourselves when we don’t show up and vote, act, speak up.
How does that happen?
Philosopher Edmund Burke said it best, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
This is what has happened recently on our watch—where I know many were praying:
1. Ohio voters passed Issue 1 which amends their state constitution to make killing babies a protected right up to birth AND children (influenced by demented medical/school leaders) have the right to have their breasts and genitals cut off without their parent’s permission or knowledge, funded by our taxpayer dollars.
2. The NY Judge holding the kangaroo court against Donald Trump said before the trial ever started that Trump was guilty. How can there be a fair trial, when the presiding judge has decided the outcome before hearing the evidence?
3. The largest Pro-Hamas protest ever in our country took place in Washington, DC last week. Protests are happening on college campuses and many states. Our college students are being told that the Oct. 7 massacre of Jews (including babies, women and children) didn’t really happen. Is this any different than what happened in the days of Hitler as people remained silent? The difference now is that we are able to look back historically and see where this demonic hatred of Jews leads.
4. This one will really get you, at Los Angeles’, “Musuem of Tolerance,” intolerant Anti-Israel demonstrators erupted in violence against attendees at a movie screening of actual video of the murder and atrocities done against Israeli’s on Oct 7. The anti-Israeli group insisted the video was “pro-genocide.” The irony. The demonstrators protested against the killing of innocent Palestinians, but completely ignored it was innocent Israeli’s murdered first by Hamas and Palestinians who came into Israel which started the conflict.
5. Special counsel Jack Smith’s case attempting to tie Donald Trump to what happened Jan. 6, 2021 as “a plot to stop the certification of Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory” continues. It is one more attempt to keep Trump from running for president as they try to indict him for treason. Treason did take place—by those who agreed to certify the fraudulent election. Let’s not forget that on Jan. 6 police INVITED people into the Capitol, then locked them in, flash bombed them and since then many have been arrested. Trump never told people to storm the Capitol. He told people to peacefully go and make their voice heard. (Something edited out of many news broadcasts.) He never told them to go inside. The police opened the doors and invited them in. What took place that day was an orchestrated attempt to stop further investigation into the irregularities (of which there are a mountain) of the 2020 election and insist the vote to be certified that day.
I often talk with groups about action steps we can take to see a turn around. Sadly, I often hear, “Well, I’m an intercessor. I pray.” Me, too. But I have learned that we must also show up. It’s not comfortable. It takes time I usually don’t have to give. It is a sacrifice. It takes me out of my comfort zone—and it will you, too. But unless we begin to show up in numbers—at the voting booth, at city council meetings, at school board meetings, etc. we will lose this nation—and it won’t be because we didn’t pray, it will be because we didn’t follow through with action–expecting someone else to do it.
I recognize some are physically unable to do some of these follow through actions, but are faithful in prayer. THANK YOU! But many intercessors can—and we must. Ponder and pray are you to do more? Can you do more? We need to.
Father, Give us wisdom and courage to stand as we have never stood before. We know in the days of our founding fathers that they risked all to see this nation survive and thrive. We can do no less. We know this nation was established as a protector of Israel and as a nation to spread the gospel. Right now we are failing on both fronts. We pray for a return to our foundation. We pray that our young people, who are being indoctrinated in schools to hate America, to believe revisionist history, will be turned back to have hearts for you. That they will know and embrace the Bible once again as the infallible Word of God. That they will receive wisdom. We pray for revival in our land. We pray for laborers into the harvest for the fields are ripe. We say, “Come forth!”
Father, worthless and a wicked men who are constant liars have taken over positions of leadership in our government, schools, judiciaries, media, etc. They signal their true intentions with their eyes and feet. They are always thinking up new schemes to manipulate, control and deceive. They have worked to stir up trouble and division everywhere. But You said they will be destroyed suddenly and broken beyond hope of healing. We declare that day is fast approaching and that justice & truth will be restored.
Our tears have been our food day and night, while they say to us all day long, “Where is your God?” We do not understand Your timetable Lord, but we submit ourselves to Your plan and declare Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. We may not know Your timetable, but we do know Your ways. We know You hear the cry of Your people. We know You contend with those who contend with us and will save our children. We know that those who stand against Israel that You will enter into judgment with them on behalf of Your people and Your heritage Israel, because they have scattered the Jewish people among the nations and have divided up Your land. But You will bless those who bless Israel, and those who dishonor the Jews You will curse. We pray that America will continue to stand with and for Israel and will not continue to play both sides. That even as Biden (and his handlers) signal that America’s support of Israel is waning, that we stand in prayer for this administration’s downfall if they try to remove America’s assistance for our closest ally. Do not hold us accountable Lord for their detestable actions against Your people, but may that curse come upon them if they dare backstab Israel in this hour of need.
We pray as nation rises against nation. We know there are many who are working to instigate wars and the financial gain it brings them. We pray that those controlling the federal reserve, corrupt banking systems, our taxpayer dollars, who are intent on lining their own pockets as they try to bankrupt us, that the trap they have set for others and ongoing theft, that they will be the ones caught in that trap themselves. They have tried to roll a boulder down on us, on this nation and on our economy, we pray that it will roll back and crush them. That their financial gain at our expense will be stopped, dry up and disappear. And that their wealth, is being transferred to the righteous who will use it to rebuild and restore that which they have stolen.
We pray over the educational institutions in America from preschool to institutes of higher learning. Many which were started to be places of instruction in the Bible with Your Word as a foundational curriculum. How far we have fallen. We take them back in prayer. We declare no longer can these be used to destroy, confuse and train our children in hatred, racism, rage, confusion, transgenderism and plant seeds of mental illness. We ask for a cleaning out from the top to the bottom and a removal of those whose intent is to use their position to indoctrinate our children against You, against America and against their parents. We say NO MORE! We declare those plans and purposes defeated, null and void. We pray for the legislators working to pass legislation that will block their liberal attempts to harm our children. We pray for superintendents, principals, and teachers who have stayed in hostile work environments as a light in the darkness. Give them strength, wisdom and protection. We pray for the favor of God upon them and may the children and others be drawn to the Light in them.
So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.
We also pray for Speaker Mike Johnson and the impending deadline of yet another government shutdown as the House works to determine a budget. We pray you would give him wisdom for a godly solution and favor with both sides of the House. That those who are determined to see him fail, who may have pre-determined to vote against any solution, just as You were able to put him in that position, we pray that You would provide a solution and help it get passed.
We pray regarding those who are determined to see America fail will be so exposed as they continue their tactics that all will be able to see it. We continue to pray for true scales of justice. Where Judge Engoron continues to try to silence Donald Trump from speaking in his own defense and providing important details in the case, may other judges and lawyer become so enraged by this judge’s manipulation of justice and unprofessional conduct that they will call not only for him to step down from this case but to be removed as a judge. Father deliver us from evil. We continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and salvation of Jews and Palestinians alike. May they know You.
