Consider where we are on the calendar and on God’s timetable—Passion week. The week from Palm Sunday to Resurrection Day. It would have been the most challenging week in Jesus’ life. While fully God, he was also fully man. He would have battled emotions knowing what was ahead. The pain. The betrayal. But He also knew ultimately VICTORY was ahead. It is interesting to note that Ramadan, the Muslim month of fasting and prayer, is happening during this time as well. Talk about a spiritual collision.

During the last week of Jesus’s life, it was a tumultuous time. People were fearful. They watched, but were afraid to intervene. They lacked courage. And Jesus stood alone. Is that how you feel in the battle that has rocked your world? At what is happening in our world?

As then, so it is now. There is turmoil, confusion and the opportunity to fear all around us. I find it no coincidence that the indictment against President Trump came at this particular time. And, nobody shout me down here, but his situation holds many similarities to what Jesus endured. False accusations to destroy and “crucify” him. There are numerous rather eerie similarities to Passion week then and now. Click here to read them and decide for yourself.

After this past week’s school shooting in Nashville which targeted Christians combined with the indictment of Donald Trump on bogus charges, this week’s prayer is for strength and protection as we face the Red Sea. God told me Pharaoh is about to meet Moses.

God has been raising up Moses’s (courageous people, across the globe) to stand against the Pharaohs. Pharaoh didn’t fear God or man. His pride was his downfall and from his own mouth he prophesied the destruction that came upon him and all of Egypt. His intent to destroy God’s people was the hand of destruction that came upon him.

And yet for Moses and the Israelites, as they faced the seemingly insurmountable Red Sea, they were already physically and spiritually weary. Their hearts almost failed as it looked as if escape was impossible. But God…

Father we pray first for the families of those killed in the senseless Nashville school shooting this past week. They staff and students killed are martyrs for their faith and yet this fact has been covered up. We pray for their families, siblings, friends as well as that community and our nation as we try to make sense of the rage and mental illness of those who would perpetuate such evil—especially on children.

We also pray for the family and friends of the shooter who battled mental illness, unforgiveness and rage. (Continue to pray the prayer from last week regarding the crisis of mental illness. It is so applicable to this issue.) In her life she succumbed to the demonic. We pray against such violence and bind the demonic influence behind it. We stand against the confusion and oppression that has been unleashed across the globe.
We pray healing and restoration for mental health and stability to combat depression, gender confusion, oppression and fear. We declare that YOU will be the stability of our times and an abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge for all who fear the LORD are His treasure.

Lord, we pray for angelic protection for our schools and public places against these kind of attacks. Against the planned “Day of Vengence” promoted by transgender activists against our nation and Your people who stand for righteousness. We bind the demonic activity that drives people to such insanity and pray that they will be loosed from the hatred and rage that has consumed them. We bind the lies of the political agenda to turn this tragedy into a gun issue and declare that it will expose as never before the growing mental health issue. We pray for deliverance and help for those in that battle.

We also pray for Donald Trump and the false accusations and political agenda determined to silence him and interfere with the upcoming election. We bind this ongoing attack against truth and justice and exposure of all behind this charade. We continue to pray that they will be the ones brought to justice. We Psalm 91 over Donald Trump and his family that they are sheltered by the God who is above all gods. That you That you alone are their refuge and safety as they put their trust in You. We also pray for the protection of our justice system and our nation. We declare that justice will be restored and that our justice system will be purged of corruption and corrupted judges and leaders so that what remains will be judges as in the days of old—those who fear God and reverence Your Word. Father we pray that even the unjust judge gave the widow woman justice, how much more will our Father in heaven give justice to His children? We declare that what Satan meant for evil that You will turn for good.

Father just as you raised up Moses, we thank you that you are once again raising up leaders who will courageously stand against the “Pharaohs” (ungodly, prideful leaders who seek to enslave). We pray for these courageous leaders for strength and protection. We declare that signs and wonders will be performed for all to see Your hand is upon them. We pray that they walk in wisdom and that You would fill their mouths with Your words to help them speak and teach them what they are to do. We pray that we will have courage to stand with them and support them in prayer and action so that they do not have to stand alone. May Your Church rise up united.

Father deliver us from Egypt. From slavery to ungodly leaders, ungodly laws, ungodly curriculums…This week, as “Pharaoh” seeks to destroy, we declare deliverance. Give us courage Lord. Even if the Red Sea is before us, like Moses, we raise up our hands and stretch them out over the “sea” so that the waters that seem to prevent us from moving forward will divide so that we can walk across, to the other side, on dry ground.

Do it again God as You have done before.
