This past week Biden’s Supreme Court nominee, Ketanji Brown-Jackson, underwent a 5-day confirmation process in which senators had a chance to pose questions to the nominee. The liberals have esteemed her as “brilliant.”
However so far she has been unable to answer simple questions such as, “Can you define a woman?” She says she cannot.
When asked what is Critical Race Theory she said she didn’t know much about it. A rather shocking response since she is on record as saying that judgements need to be based on things like Critical Race Theory. According to an article by the New York Post, after Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) detailed her record on the issue, he asked her: “Is critical race theory taught in schools? Is it taught in kindergarten through 12th?”
Her response was, “Senator, I don’t know. I don’t think so. I believe it’s an academic theory that’s at the law school level.”
Obviously truth is not a factor in Jackson’s responses. For despite her ambiguous statement, she sits on the board of a school that assigns and recommends numerous books on critical race theory, among them “Critical Race Theory: An Introduction,” “How to Be an Antiracist” by Ibram X. Kendi and “The End of Policing,” a tract advocating the abolition of police. Summer reading for third-, fourth- and fifth-grade students includes another Kendi book, which states that racial colorblindness is really just a convenient cover for racism. For pre-K students, Kendi’s “Antiracist Baby” urges young children to confess their supposed racism.
The media and liberals say nothing of her evasive answers. Truth doesn’t seem to be a requirement in her responses or for this position.
As a judge in lower courts, she has halted the deportation of illegal aliens. She has consistently sentenced pedophiles to much lower sentences than typical or than was recommended. And she has stated her belief that all judges have an agenda as she obviously does.
Should it concern us that leftist groups like American Atheists, the Human Rights Campaign, NARAL, Planned Parenthood, the National Education Association and the Southern Poverty Law Center are all pushing for her confirmation?
At least at this writing, moderate Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin announced he intended to vote to confirm her. He has been the Democrat which has been courageous enough to vote against his party when he disagreed with their stand. We need to pray that he or someone else will show such courage and is willing to shift where they presently stand as Jackson can be confirmed without a single Republican vote in the 50-50 Senate, since Vice President Kamala Harris would be able to break a tie in the nominee’s favor.
It would take only one Democrat to defect from their party combined with a united GOP opposition to stop this catastrophic nomination. That is how we must pray.
The committee is expected to vote on Jackson’s nomination to the full Senate April 4, with a final vote on confirmation expected later that week.
Father, we come before you and cry out to your for help and protection over what is called our “Supreme” Court. Lord we pray for a court in which the judges are chosen because they possess godly wisdom, are fair and just and honor our nation and or Constitution. This current nominee does none of that. So Father we ask for your intervention. We pray that you can
Lord You warned that if we fail under pressure our strength is too small. Instead You instruct us to deliver those who are being taken away to death. Already that has been happening Lord after our Supreme Court legalized the murder of babies in the womb. Just as we are on the verge of getting that atrocity overturned, evil-intentioned politicians introduce Ketanji Brown as one to sit on our highest court.
But Lord she does not revere You, nor honor Your Word or our Constitution. We ask that you would prevent her confirmation. Lord we want to see our nation turn back to You, but how can we do that when unrighteous judges continue to make rulings on behalf of criminals? They do not judge as in days of old when You raised up judges who delivered them from the hands of those who plundered them. Lord we ask that You would do it again.
We pray for Senator Manchin to have courage to vote against Ms. Brown. Or Father raise up another who will be willing to stand against this evil. For Lord Your Word tells us that rulers are to hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. They are to be God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. That is not what this judge has done. Instead she has allowed criminals to have reduced sentences or go free for atrocities against children and law-abiding citizens. And she is not the only one.
Lord You see all who now sit in seats of authority appointed there without our consent. Who took positions they did not honestly earn—and yes those who we voted in who should not be there. Forgive us Lord. And what we have are now too many to count in seats of authority who do not acknowledge You as God. Lord, you call them fools. And like snow in summer and rain in harvest so honor is not fitting for a fool. So Lord may they not continue to be able to remain in seats of honor, but be removed, and exposed along with the evil legislation and judgements that have been passed at their hand. Deliver us Lord and protect our Supreme Court so that we can return to You.
