Initially I had a different prayer focus for this week, but in light of what is happening in Ukraine I felt it important we join in prayer over the turmoil around the world which ultimately affects our cities as well.
I’ve heard some say that an invasion is not happening and the “good guys” are actually in control and what we see taking place is simply a removal of Deep State corruption. I pray that is the case. In any event, reports from people on the ground in the heart of Ukraine tell me that they have had to flee and refugee centers are being set up. They are huddled in bomb shelters. The only thing that is clear is that none of us knows exactly what is going on. All the more reason for prayer.
We need to join our intercession for our brothers and sisters there, even as we continue to pray for our nation along with the American Convoy for Freedom truckers who are headed for Washington, D.C. this week. All these issues are in a way connected. (See my article on page 2 for further important details.)
Father, one thing we do know, is we don’t know exactly what is happening. There are numerous conflicting reports and so much misinformation. But YOU know what is happening and YOU know who is behind all of this. We pray for Your intervention and protection for the people of Ukraine and for Your will to be done. Let evil not prevail! Take up shield and armor; arise and come to their aid and our aid against evil and aggressors.
Instead we pray for revival! We declare righteousness to be restored and corruption expelled. Father, You know what is really going on, so we ask that You would expose and shine Your light on the darkness. Help us to know truth and bring resolution even as you protect the Ukrainians.
We lift up our brothers and sisters in Ukraine, the Baltic States and Russia. Lord the citizens of those areas cry out to You for intervention and help from leaders and actions that are beyond their control. Deliver us from evil Lord and from tyrants intent on takeover. Deliver us from fake news and help us know and understand what is really taking place.
We pray that You would overthrow evil empires and that Your power would overcome the darkness in every situation. We also continue to pray for Afghanistan, Australia, Canada and Taiwan where it appears evil has or is on the verge of overtaking good. We pray for America as the American truckers head toward Washington, D.C. this week. May that not be flipped to allow further takeover.
We ask you for wisdom Father. We pray for the truckers that they will remain in unity and they will not be goaded into aggression or infiltrated by the Left to give them false information. We ask Lord that You would take back our nation and take back our White House so that once again America can stand as a friend to Israel and for freedom.
You said by wise counsel we will wage war and in the abundance of counselors there is victory. May we Your people, obtain wise counsel in this hour to wage this war against the darkness. Deliver those who are being taken away to death and those who are staggering to slaughter. Hold them back O Lord. You said the violence of the wicked will drag them away because they refuse to do what is right. We stand on Your Word Lord.
