Mark 3:27 tells us, “But no one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. Then indeed he may plunder his house.” What is the strongman over our nation?
While many voices have said they believe the spiritual entity Baal is the spirit entity/strongman. Our prayer this week is to bind what leads Baal and many. It is the strongman of pride.

(For more understanding on “Know Your Enemy – Baal Zephron” click here.) We saw it first in Lucifer with his five “I wills” in Isaiah and it hasn’t changed.

“You said in your heart:
1. I will ascend to the heavens;
2. I will raise my throne above the stars of God.
3. I will sit on the mount of assembly, in the far reaches of the north.
4. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;
5. I will make myself like the Most High” (Is 14:13-15).

We see that same spirit of pride as they attempted to erect the Tower of Babel. In pride they believed they could build a tower to ascend to the heavens and raise their throne above God. Same spirit. Same error. It is rooted in pride. We see that same spirit in our nation today in so many areas.

Pride is the strongman and when allowed entrance it brings with it many minions or lesser spirits as they work together. It is what is behind what is happening in our nation. I have referred to it as the true pandemic—a spiritual pandemic. To learn more click here.

The Word tells us if we bind the strongman, he cannot plunder our homes, our cities, our nation. That is our prayer this week.

Father, we first declare that You are exalted in our lives, homes and nation. We never want to miss an opportunity to praise Your name and worship You as King and Lord.

As we join together in prayer for our families, cities and nation, we bring Your Word before You for You said You watch over Your Word to perform it. You told us we must first bind the strongman so he cannot plunder our house.

So Lord, we bind the strongman of pride which has covered our nation like a plague. We uproot it first in our own lives to repent, renounce it and any of its cohorts that have been allowed entrance.
We say be gone now!

We also pray that the spirit of pride, which has become a stronghold over our nation and leaders, who have proclaimed in their hearts, “I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God,” that the spirit of pride will be brought down. Lord may they recognize the arrogance of their heart and remove it, or may they be removed.

You have said that pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before stumbling. That you hate, pride and arrogance, the evil way and a perverted mouth. That those who have attempted to elevate themselves as God will be brought down to the lowest depths of the Pit. May it be so in every city, state and our nation.

For the pride of their heart has deceived them. They have declared, ‘Who can bring me down to the ground?’ Although they claim to be wise, they have become fools. The fool say in their heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile. May our nation no longer be under this pride and spirit of control. You said that righteousness exalts a nation. As we humble ourselves before You and ask that You be exalted in our nation, in Your majesty ride forth victoriously in the cause of truth, humility and justice; let Your right hand achieve awesome deeds.

So Father, we bind the strongman of pride over our nation and ask that in its place would be humility and the fear of the Lord. That the wise will be strong and men and women of knowledge will enhance their strength. We build our “house” (nation) by wisdom and by understanding it is established. Through knowledge its rooms are filled with every precious and beautiful treasure.

We declare that America will be saved and prosper once again as Your Word is proclaimed and honored once again.
