I believe this is a time in which the Lord is revealing the true thoughts and motives of people. It is important we pay attention and take heed.
Back in the day of Ezekiel, the Lord took him to the east gate of his city and showed him 25 men, including two leaders, who were behind the corruption and giving evil advice to the people of the city. The Lord’s word to Ezekiel was, “Therefore, prophesy against them, prophesy, son of man!”
When King David fled the city after his son Absalom took the kingdom in a coup, the Lord used that time to reveal to David who was with him, who deserted him and who were betrayers. I believe this is where we are now as well.
God is revealing and exposing. As these things are revealed in our cities and in our nation, we need to pay attention and prophesy against them and their unrighteous works. It is to our detriment to ignore it or stick our head in the sand.
As we stand for our city and our nation, pray and ask the Lord to reveal where corruption is coming from. We need to be cautious that we do not pray manipulation and control which is witchcraft. Instead, we are to pray regarding what is being revealed and exposed to uproot it. Pray and prophesy against corrupt leaders and individuals to be replaced with God-fearing individuals so that our cities will become God-fearing places of repentance, revival and prosperity.
Lord I pray as Ezekiel prayed and I prophesy over (your city) even as I pray over our nation. I ask that you would reveal, expose and remove those who are behind the corruption and evil advice that has led people astray, caused businesses to shut down, created division, padded their pockets, illegally put people into positions of authority, corrupted our schools and which has worked to control and manipulate our city, nation and government.
I prophesy now that all darkness be exposed and brought into the light. I prophesy that the destruction they have devised, would boomerang back onto them. I prophesy that their evil deeds will not succeed and are being brought into the light and exposed. And I prophesy that not only will they be exposed, but that justice will take place and not delay.
I pray and prophesy over (city name) that the citizens will hunger and thirst after righteousness, that the spirit of deception and fear will be broken off and that revival will come. May the people desire to know You and see their need for You.
I prophesy that the detestable things and all the abominations in (your city) and America will be removed. Lord that You would give us one heart and put a new spirit within us. Take out the hearts of stone and give them a heart of flesh that they may walk in Your statutes and keep Your ordinances to do them. That we will be Your people and You will be our God.
But for those whose hearts continue to go after detestable things and abominations, who refuse to repent, Lord, bring their conduct down on their heads.
Father, I seek the prosperity of my city and pray on its behalf. For You said in its prosperity will be our prosperity. I prophesy to (your city) and declare and say you will prosper. I declare that evil doers will be exposed, that God-fearing businessmen/women who were forced to shut down their businesses due to the COVID corruption will receive a seven-fold restoration of all that was lost. Lord I pray for hope to replace discouragement and for prosperity to replace bankruptcy. Lord restore that which was stolen! I pray that God-fearing leaders, business owners, teachers, police, etc will put down roots in our city and prosper. That corruption will be driven out. I declare that our city will be known as one of integrity, justice, miracles and prosperity. I prophesy revival and miracles into the very soil of our foundation Lord.
I prophesy over (your city) that the days are coming when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes. That new wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills. That the Holy Spirit will be poured out in a mighty way and that our children, families and neighbors will hunger and thirst after righteousness.
May Your glory go up from the midst of (city name) so that it is a beacon of light to all.
I declare it and prophesy it. In Jesus’ name I pray and may it be done according to Your Word.
