This past week we saw Biden renew America’s relationship with Iran and Hamas reverting back to the Obama/Biden administrations cozy relationship with both. The problem?
Shortly afterward, Iran announced they are close to having a nuclear bomb. Boy that makes me feel secure. How about you? The previous administration closed this door, but within days of taking office, Biden has opened it back up.
Hamas has one primary goal—the eradication of Israel. God says Israel is the apple of His eye. Because of our governments actions, we are now in direct opposition to God’s heart as Biden aligns us with Hamas. Why would America want to be on the side of the terrorists?
We are in a season in which the wicked mock God and laugh. They erroneously believe they have gotten away with their corruption and sin. But make no mistake. God is not mocked. He is in control and His Word remains true. This week we pray that these ungodly alliances will be broken and we see there is woe to those who have enabled them.
This week’s prayer:
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil, who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness. Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight! Woe to those who are heroes in drinking wine, and valiant men in mixing intoxicating drink. Who declare the wicked innocent for a bribe, and take away the rights of the ones who are in the right!
Woe to those who enact unjust laws and to those who constantly record harmful decisions, so as to deprive the needy of justice and rob the poor among My people of their rights, so that widows may be their spoil and that they may plunder the orphans. Now what will you do in the day of punishment, and in the devastation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your wealth?
Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
Woe to those who go to great depths to hide their plans from the Lord, who do their work in darkness and think, “Who sees us? Who will know?”
But YOU know O Lord and nothing escapes Your sight.
While the mouth of the godless man destroys his neighbor, through knowledge the righteous the will be delivered! Lord, You said You would rescue us from violent men.
Lord we pray over those with whom you have said, “Woe” and pronounced a warning or judgement. Lord we pray for them that their eyes will be opened and that their ears will hear. Lord that you take their heart of stone and turn it to a heart of flesh. May they repent of their wicked ways and turn to You. But Lord, if they refuse and continue to try to hold America as hostage to their evil plans, Lord we call for your deliverance from this evil. Lord we renounce it. We separate from it and from them. Lord remove it from our land!
You said that those who hopefully wait for You will not be put to shame. With great expectation and reverence we wait for You to see the salvation of the Lord. We pray for revival and for the fear of God to be restored.
You have instructed us to do justice, to love kindness and to walk humbly with You. We ask that You show us how to do that and to show Your name strong. Be exalted in America O Lord and restore us to our godly foundations.
