Dear City Intercessor,

Don’t you imagine how we feel now is how Jesus’ disciples felt after His crucifixion? They were stunned, grieving and probably feeling hopeless. It appeared evil had won. And the One in whom they believed would deliver them seemingly hadn’t.

It sort of feels like that now doesn’t it? We were so sure God would deliver us from this evil takeover, and yet in the natural it sure looks like that hope is dead, buried and in the tomb.

This is where we must do what David did and encourage ourselves in the Lord. We must remember who He is and what He has done in the past. Remember This isn’t Over!

I know most of us are still standing and believing that we will see a miraculous God intervention on or before January 20. I know I do, because I believe this isn’t just about President Trump or America. The entire world is watching. There is prayer taking place around the world for us 24/7. It is that very scenario that makes me believe God is going to show just who is really King.

But what if He doesn’t? What next? We will cross that bridge IF we get there.

But for this week we continue to intercede, declare His Word and sing His praises in the face of impending disaster. That has always been one of His commanded strategies. So how do we walk through this week? As they did back then with their faces bowed to the ground in worship.

Lord, we thank you that You are the same yesterday, today and forever. We put our trust in You for in doing so You said we would be established. We continue to put our trust in Your prophets who have remained steadfast. And we declare, “We give thanks to the Lord, for Your lovingkindness is everlasting!”

Lord we keep our eyes on You and not man or natural circumstances. May You work as You did in days of old and send ambushments against the demonic forces attempting to overthrow America. Lord we ask that You would cause them to turn on each other and destroy each other.

We prophesy to the dry bones of the Church and say RISE UP! We call forth LIFE. Do not be afraid. Do not be weary. Have faith in God for we shall again see the salvation of the Lord.

Father, we ask that You would strengthen Your people. Let us see Your mighty hand. You said You would never leave us or forsake us or leave our seed begging bread. We renounce fear and take faith as our shield and Your Word as the sword at our side. We will not be moved. We will not fear.

You said the righteous man will be glad in the Lord and will take refuge in You and all the upright in heart will glory. Lord, this week bring Your glory and reveal that You are indeed the true King.

Though a host should encamp against us, our heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against us, in this will we be confident. One thing have we desired of the Lord, that will we seek after; that we may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of our lives, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.

For in the time of trouble You shall hide us in Your pavilion. In the secret of Your tabernacle You will hide us. You will set is up upon a rock.

And now shall our heads be lifted high above the enemies round about us. Therefore will we offer the sacrifices of joy and yes, we will sing to the Lord.
